Glaxo offers "Open Lab" for Malaria

wittyfAndrew Witty the Chief Executive of GSK announced that Glaxo would provide a list of 13,500 drug compounds that they had identified as offering the potential to address malaria.

They will also provide $8 million funding for scientists to explore these drugs. In announcing the move Andrew Witty notes that pharmacuetical companies have to acknowledge their social responsibilities and to earn the trust of society.
